    Dear support gurus,

    Is it possible that the portfolio section on the homepage shows the photos of posts and links to the post instead of the pre formatted portfolio section?

    Hi,
    that is not possible directly, but you could duplicate portfolio shortcode function and customize it a bit to show posts instead of portfolio.

    Uf..
    that is beyond regular support.. but i will give you some instructions

    • search for wp-content/plugins/ab-portfolio/shortcode.php
    • copy shortcode function and add_shortcode line beyond it
    • paste them into function.php
    • rename function and shortcode names
    • search for query line and in it change that it doesn’t requests portfolio but post
    • remove any unwanted code
