    I have been trying to create a child theme for Aeron, but am having no success despite spending hours on this.

    I’m guessing that it’s not just as simple as referencing the style.css file in the parent Aeron css folder?

    Help greatly appreciated.

    I have just send update for theme, please allow up to day or two to be accepted by review team.

    The thing is that main styling is in css/style.css file and that complicates things when you importing. The easiest way to get this done is to in theme copy all content from css/style.css in style.css under current content. Then change paths of images and in functions.php change inclusion of css/style.css to style.css.

    I have send you fixed theme on email so you don’t have to wait for update to be accepted.
