ohh now I see! It works, thanks ;)

I’ve set the post category as my blog first page http://www.cosurbano.com.br/urban-style but when I go to my page and click on “Urban Style” it takes me to http://www.cosurbano.com.br/urban-style/urban-style-em-breve/ can you help me to change that?

    thanks again

Well you just need to set that blog category that you have created into your menu.
If you do not know how to do that, then please send us your wordpress account and we can do that for you.

I did that, but still working wrong! I create the Post category and give the permanent link as http://www.cosurbano.com.br/urban-style but when I go to my website the Urban Style still takes me to http://www.cosurbano.com.br/urban-style/em-breve

    Thanks

Ok, we can see that issue.
Have you changed anything inside the code?
We went through everything and everything is set correctly. We have even tried to create new category with different slug and still the same thing is happening.
We will continue digging into this and get back to you when we found out more.

No I didn’t change anything about this in the code. I’ve just set the permanent link now i went back to the default and works! I think I’ve set something wrong.. I want to use http://www.cosurbano.com.br/urban-style for the blog first page and for the single pages, I would like to use http://www.cosurbano.com.br/urban-style/post-name but when I try to set this on settings > permanent link > custom and I use http://www.cosurbano.com.br/urban-style/%postname%/ and that issue happen! Can you help me?

    Thanks a lot

Yeah, this won’t work. We’ve added the permalink structure like

    /%category%/%post-name%/

So that your posts will have categories, but adding just the base name of the category your posts are not in, won’t work.

But I don’t wanna the category! I just want the blog name “Urban Style” and the post name! But when I set /urban-style/%postname% the blog first page goes to http://www.cosurbano.com.br/urban-style/em-breve/ I think it’s because i use this permanent link before, there’s a way to remove the ones that I’m not using anymore?

    Thanks

The problem is that you have a category that has a name urban-style, and 4 posts are assigned to it. Not only that, the posts in this category, are also in outubro category, and the category slug goes alphabetically (by default), so the first category the wordpress will put in your url is the outubro one. If you only put posts in urban-style category (so that they don’t share other categories), you’ll get the /urban-style/post-name url.

This has nothing to do with how you’ve set up the permalinks, it’s just how wordpress handles posts and categories.

You can set other categories as a child of the ‘urban-style’ one, and this will give you /urban-style/category/post-name
