Setting Homepage

By default, WordPress shows your most recent posts in reverse chronological order on the front page of your site. Many WordPress users want a static front page or splash page as the front page instead. This ‘static front page’ look is common for users desiring static or welcoming information on the front page of the site.

You can set a Static ‘Home’ Page (front page) inside WordPress Dashboard or inside the Customizer.

Inside the dashboard go to Settings > Reading and Select the ‘Static Page‘ option, then choose your new page from the ‘Front Page‘ drop down.
It is the same with the Customizer. Launch the Site Customizer on Appearance > Customize and click on the ‘Static Front Page‘ tab on the left. Select the ‘Static Page‘ option, then choose your new page from the ‘Front Page‘ drop down.
