By default, the WordPress importer doesn’t import widgets, so when you import the sample data for any of the demos it won’t have any widgets in the footer or the sidebar. However, some of our themes do include a widgets.wie file within the ‘Demo Content’ folder if you want to try importing them via the Widget Import Export plugin.
